Why do I need a Table specially designed to be used for Jigsaw Puzzles?

Jigsaws are often found in the most bizarre places the garage, the spare room or bedrooms (surprisingly often) or in the office, the kitchen and even in the bathroom. In all places, you are almost certain there's no chairs.

As if that weren't enough, you can be assured there won’t be any suitable surfaces. They will not be either too high, lower, too slippery or too rough. Add to that the fact that the temperature inside the room is likely to not be the ideal temperature and the gentle hobby of jigsaw puzzling can rapidly turn into a health hazard.

Why is it that folk are inclined to seek out unhospitable locations to solve their puzzles? It's almost certain they do this to ensure that they won't be bothersome. It's not difficult to comprehend the reason why puzzles can quickly take up a lot of space and make room for other things.

You don't have to go this route. They take up very little area in your living space, and can be used to engage in a variety of other activities in addition to everyday activities such as writing, reading and eating. You can build your puzzle to your heart's content by simply moving the table toward you from the armrests on your favorite chair.

Why Do I Need a Jigboard

Jigboards/Jigsorts are designed to work in conjunction with our jigsaw table. We do not recommend using the table to solve puzzles that do not require a Jigboard or Jigsort. Every Jigsort includes an Jigboard. Our puzzle table is able to be used with any of our Jigboards that range from 500 pieces (Jigboard 500) up to 2 000 pieces (Jigboard 2000). Be aware that if you use the table with either of the larger boards (Jigboard 1500 or Jigboard 2000) and you have arms that are short, you may need to stretch to reach the top of the board!

Making adjustments to your Jigsaw Table

There are just two adjustments to make to the jigsaw table, but they'll make an immense difference in your enjoyment of a folding puzzle board.

The table can be adjusted in height by connecting two clips to the legs. Most people find that the most comfortable posture for them is having the table extend just a few inches above their knees.

Secondly you change the tilt of the table surface so that you can comfortably reach the edge of the puzzle. An easy-turn knob beneath the table then puts everything into place. After you've tried solving the puzzle from this comfortable position you'll understand why there is no artist painting on a flat desk.
